Situation
Kemer is divided into several areas. Kemer city is the main town of the areas and has about 20,000 permanent residents, north of the city is Arslanbucak, to the west the areas Kiriş and Camyuva and to the east the holiday resort Göynük.The whole area is very beautiful and known for its citrus groves, pine forests and stunning beaches located in Kemer but also Kiriş, Camyuva and Göynük. Over the last 5-6 years, Turks from other parts of Turkey, and Westerners have begun to invest in holiday homes in this area. It is limited what could be built, max 3 floor in the area, because it is protected, therefore, this area has retained its charm. Only 17 miles from downtown is the new skiing resort "Tahtali" which make the area is both summer and winter destination. Each town has its own little downtown area where there are restaurants, bars and shopping. If you want to go and see a little more there is good bus connection to Kemer city the year round.
